This week was busier than normal. Braden's parents were in town Tuesday-Thursday. We had a really nice time with them. On Wednesday we celebrated my father-in-law's birthday and went up into the Tower of the Americas. It was a really beautiful view from the top. We sat at the bar and got drinks and appetizers, then headed down to the Riverwalk. It was surprisingly crowded for a Wednesday night, but it was fun and really pretty. We got dinner at Rio Rio which was a tex-mex restaurant right on the river. We didn't get to see the Alamo (kinda a must at some point when you live in San Antonio) so we have plans to go back another time.

The Riverwalk..sorry it's a little blurry!
On Friday night, we headed out to Selma, TX (right outside of San Antonio) to Retama Park to watch Quarter Horse racing. We had so much fun! Turns out neither one of us are really great at picking winners, but we did get to see some really pretty horses. Occupational hazard of being a life long equestrian and dressage rider is I tended to pick horses with great uphill trots and canters than relying on the odds- hey, I would've been good at picking out my future horse! Parking was free, admission was only $5, and they had special Friday night drink and food specials. A great night and we would definitely go again!
Excited about my RetamaRita!
Post time!
Pretty sunset at the racetrack
The horse I picked in this race is currently in last....but had a really great trot!
Since this week was so busy, we weren't the best with our work out routine. Hopefully this week will be more consistent! I am also so excited to have my car Bruce Wayne back! Saturday we headed out to explore Fredericksburg, TX, but more on that tomorrow! Next weekend we are headed to Dallas for our nephew's 1st birthday party!
